The Nursery: In-Progress
Well, I don't know if I have made my pregnancy blog-official, but here it is: I am pregnant! My due date is 9 days away! Not much of a warning! To busy myself until our little angel appears, I am stocking my booths and preparing our apartment. Here is the nursery! It is still in-progress, since my mom has a quilt for it, and I hope to get the walls painted a light gray, but it is a good start.

Antique Buffet Redo
While in Kansas seeing my sister, we junked around like maniacs, and I found this beautiful buffet! You may remember it from a past post. Well, after weeks of renovation on it, it was finished and brought to Kalona Junction! It wasn't even in the store 24 hours and it was sold!

Going shabby chic at Kalona junction
Almost every week when I stroll into Kalona Junction, Karen has a new hair-brained idea to switch the entire store around! She loves change and so do the customers... So I oblige her. She wanted shabby chic incorporated into the store. And I do love shabby chic! So, we gathered all of our antique whites and began the transformation! A day later, this is how it turned out!

Karen's New Old Couch
Karen got this fabulous antique couch at an auction, and thought it needed to be revamped for the store. So, she took her favorite fabrics, quilted them, and hauled the couch to the Kalona furniture man. He did his reupholstering with great craftsmanship, and this is how it turned out! I love it!!! Totally unique and funky! Karen loved it so much, she can't part with it. So, sadly, this beauty is not for sale. It is staying in Karen's living room! But, be inspired by these pics!

Farm Table re-do
I have been wanting to create a farm table for a long time. The Back roads vintage market was my motivation! I eagerly rented two booths and need to fill the square footage. Nothing better than a plank farm table to fill it!
My mom gave me her rejected dining room table, which I stole the legs off of, and my husbands farm had planks from an old corn crib. So, I went to work, painting and varnishing, measuring and cutting. I had all the pieces ready to go and with my dad's and Kevin's help, we put the beauty together.
And thanks for helping me paint the legs mom!
Find the farm table this Saturday in dysart, Iowa. At the Simply Rooted booth! It will be an awesome event! Check out there Facebook page: back roads vintage market... Just type it in....
Back to the table, check out the process here:
