A Grand Announcement: New Store In The Works

Karen and I have been loading and unloading trailers for the past 4 months and our old bodies are tired. So, we got ourselves a store front! I know, I know, I already had one. My husband keeps reminding me that I can't just open and close businesses when I want... But for this phase in my life, why not? Especially now that I have the help of Karen! She is as much of a risk taker as I am, and sharing ownership of a shop makes it so much more realistic.

Here are the details: it will be called Kalona Junction. It is located between The Cherry Blossom Boutique and The Kalona Bakery in the 5th street mini-mall. There is no street access, so, you will have to come in from either store that surrounds us. We will be opening on March 15th, 2013. We will have vintage and antique items, some up-cycled, some delightfully junky, clothing and jewelry.

Come and check us out!
We have just finished painting, and are ready to bring in our backdrops!

County Auction

Hardly a week goes by that my cohort Karen doesn't go to an auction. And this week was no exception. She convinced me to get over my A.D.D. And come and she even pulled some Des Moines girls in for the fun.

I never get the deals that Karen gets, but we had fun!

Stew's Quality Vintage Goods

I stopped by Stew's shop in Cedar Falls this weekend and loved what I saw! Great vintage items, an adorable puppy, and lots of customers buying junk! Emma, the shop owner, is an amazing business woman. She makes connections with everyone, sells her items are low prices and never stops working.
If you want to find her shop, it is just east, down a little alley, behind Simpson furniture co. In Cedar Falls, Iowa.
She sells many items thought Facebook. Look her page up: Stew's

Added a little love to our Brass Armadillo booth.

We made it to Des Moines earlier this week to revamp our booth at the Brass Armadillo on 80 in Des Moines. We just added all things red and pink. Good enough for two Iowa girls.
